Teacher Feedback...

Teachers have shared with us their thoughts about Hawaiian Alive excursions and workshops that have been won for their students...

His Majesty's Theatre Excursion
The visit to His Majesty's Theatre was a fantastic experience for my year 4 class. We learnt so much about how a theatre operates and why His Majesty's is unique. It provided lots of follow-up activities for all curriculum areas.  It has been the most informative and interesting of all the excursions that I have been on in my 35 years of teaching!
Nesta Fallick, Swanbourne Primary (Dec 2010)

WA Museum Excursion "A Day In Pompeii"
This was a fun and educationally valuable experience for all the students. Parents appreciated the ‘freeness’ of the excursion and all the kids had a great time and were made to feel like VIPs by Nicole and Hawaiian.
Natalie Davis, Hampton Park Primary (Sep 2010)

Wildcats Basketball Clinic
On Wednesday the 1st September LA 12 was fortunate enough to have 2 players Drew Williamson and Cameron Tovey from the Perth Wildcats come and given them a basketball clinic. The students learnt so much about team spirit, how to dribble and how to shoot a goal. This experience also demonstrated to the students that tv isn't always what it seems as one student said "they look so much bigger in person than on tv and I feel like an ant next to them, I just cannot believe how different in size they look." I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Hawaiian Alive program for sponsoring our basketball clinic.
Fiona Anning, Bletchley Park Primary (Sep 2010)

The students loved the opportunity to meet and learn from professional players. Daniel Griffiths, Ellenbrook Christian College (Sep 2010)

WA Opera Workshop
How exciting it was to receive an email saying we had won a workshop from WA’s top opera company and they come to us!!! Students were inspired and motivated by the captivating workshop with the professional artists. The opera team were professional and happy to answer questions from students. A thoroughly enjoyed workshop!
Candice Clarke, Sevenoaks Senior College (Aug 2010)

Black Swan State Theatre Excursion to "The Clean House"
Thank you so much for this fantastic opportunity. For some of my students it was their first time seeing a professional production. The students enjoyed the excellent performances, lighting, special effects and set. An added bonus was meeting a Neighbours star (Brooke Satchwell) and hearing how she progressed in her chosen profession.  They also loved having their photos taken.  The whole experience was valuable and my students also enjoyed the excellent coach trip with the charming driver. Christine Boult, Balcatta Senior High (May 2010)
